Motivational speaking has become a social plague. It used to be helpful for a generation that embraced pain and sacrifice but the game of “pumping people” is no longer working. We don't want to truly build people. We want to please them by telling them what they want to hear.

The most undervalued ingredient of team building is pain, not motivation. Pain is not a price. Pain is a lifestyle that transforms individuals, companies and families. We know what must be done but we don't do it anyway. We don't need more knowledge. We need to feel more pain.

Pain is the taste of discipline, the salt of any life worth living. Sadly much of the stuff we hear about discipline is a soulish attempt to stir people’s heart and send them back home pumped and deluded. Still true discipline generates sales.

Discipline is suffering; discipline is punishment; discipline is hard teaching; discipline is sacrifice; and discipline is not a democracy. You must be a disciple to practice discipline because you must be disciplined when you don’t obey.

Discipline is the prison chosen by the very best sales performers. In fact they don’t leave you for lack of freedom. They leave you to be prisoners of greater managers. At the same time there is no discipline without humility.

The higher you rise the more you have to serve in silence the very same people who isolate you and crucify you for doing what’s right. In this session Enzo will “touch” your team and prepare them for the toughest year they’ll ever have.
